How do expiration nudges work?

When you add an item, give it an expiration date. Nest & Nourish schedules a local notification a few days before that date (you can adjust the lead time in Settings). You'll also see items flagged right in your pantry list as they get close to expiring, so you can use them up first.

Tips for scanning barcodes

  • Hold the barcode flat and steady, a few inches from the camera, inside the frame on screen.
  • Make sure there's enough light — glare or shadows across the barcode are the most common reason a scan fails.
  • No luck scanning? You can always type the barcode number in manually, or just fill in the item by hand.

How do household invites work?

The household owner adds a member by entering their email address. That person then signs up (or signs in, if they already have an account) using that same email address, and they'll automatically join the shared pantry and shopping list. A household can have a few members at a time; the owner can remove a member at any point.

I'm not getting notifications

Nest & Nourish schedules reminders on your device, but your phone's operating system controls whether they're actually allowed to show. Check that notifications are enabled for Nest & Nourish in your device's Settings app, and that Do Not Disturb or battery-optimization settings aren't silencing the app.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app, go to Account settings, and choose Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm your password. This permanently removes your account and your synced cloud data — it doesn't affect data that's only stored locally on other devices.
